sometimes heads get in the way and the image gets a little jerky; i was pretty far back and had to zoom in as far as i could to get a good view, and for about the last half hour i had to stand with a tripod in my hands to get a good shot at katie over the sea of heads. at one point i tried to get a bit of people putting money in the basket/hat/thing, but didn’t zoom out enough in time. i also tried to get a bit of a really cute little girl who was knitting while sitting on the floor, but her hands were partially obscured by a wicker chair. i can’t overstate just how cute she was; she sat there quietly knitting away, and then would stop to applaud between songs, before going back to knitting again. she looked to be maybe six years old, if that.

i am not a cinematographer by any stretch of the imagination, as you will see. but still. katie! at taloola! happiness.
